Where to eat well in Merano
In a traditional, historical and familiar environment
Villa Heidelberg is not just a restaurant in Merano, but an authentic piece of the city’s history, designed and constructed by the master builder Tobias Brenner in 1902. The villa, a historically listed building, could probably tell its guests some stories of its more than one hundred years in the heart of the splendid town of Merano. Today the Gamper family manages the structure and showcases the values and traditions of the Burgraviato cuisine with great passion. So, enjoying a meal in Merano becomes an experience full of surprises for the soul, heart and palate.
Already from the outside, you can perceive a classic elegance, and it continues in the interior and in the beautiful, ample garden. We welcome you for an afternoon coffee or a stylish lunch or dinner. Villa Heidelberg is also perfect for your private parties, both for family and corporate affairs.
We think you could live without sweets, but life wouldn’t be as much fun! So, we have a selection of homemade cakes, pies and ice cream to accompany a nice coffee or a cup of tea. In addition to serving you our delicacies in the typical Stube or on the sunny terrace, we are happy to pack them to take away, so you can enjoy them in the company of your loved ones.
The aperitif is not just a drink, it is a cultural event built around a specific moment of the day. Between afternoon and evening, aperitivo time offers the opportunity not only to prepare the digestive system for dinner, but also to chat with friends and family. At Villa Heidelberg, this moment of conviviality - accompanied by a Hugo, a Venetian or a Mimosa –heralds an unforgettable evening, regardless of your plans.
